Question by Eric M: is it illegal in maryland if a 17 year old has cyber sex with a 12 year old?
my friend does this. i find it a little wierd but i was just wondering if he could acctually get in trouble for this. there is no photographs involved and no webcam or anything just IM cyber sex.. so i know of.

It is illegal under MD law, AND under Federal law even if they are in the same State.
He can go to prison, and get a sex offender label that he will have to carry for the rest of his life.
